Across the internet I've seen a ton of folks that found this out. The profiles and NR in DXO is lightyears ahead of anything Adobe and near instant to use without fuss. I tried Lightroom's latest and aside from it's masking tools found it wanting. Sorry but DXO Photolab 6 (the latest) runs complete rings around anything Adobe. Opening a RAW file in DXO is a shear revelation by comparison to Adobe. ![]() Going to post my musings later comparing the FX30 and the A7C, which would not have been as easily done without LR. Also having the 1TB of storage, and being able to edit files on the fly with the same program that I use on my phone/tablet is a real benefit. I would probably buy Dx0 every few years because that's how often I upgrade cameras, and while the net amount I spend would be less, the frustration of upgrading/spending money would be present everytime I bought/played with a new camera. ![]() That's to much fiddling around, better to learn one program well, and deal with the same $120 cost that I would have to pay Dx0 to upgrade. So I need to either buy the updated version of Dx0 OR use one of the opensource programs like RAWTHERAPEE to open the files. But the reason why I am posting this in the Sony forum, is because I just rented the FX30 and the 2070/4, and Dx0/4 doesn't recognize the camera. I have DxO photolab 4, and it has been great with my A7C, and the older lenses. finally bought the Lightroom subscription.
